It fit exactly with our district’s 5th grade environmental education goals. I have already contacted our environmental ed. teacher and the science coordinator in order to encourage the rest of the district to bring their 5th graders next year in order to coordinate with the goals of the district. This will now become our 5th grade “big” class trip for the year, even with a 2 ½ hour trip each way. It really made an impact on my students!
