Expo 2010: May 13 & 14

A completely FREE "See-Touch-Do" experience for KIDS of ALL ages to ENJOY!

Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo celebrates state’s unique children and outdoor activities:

Just as Wisconsin’s children are unique, so are its landscape and natural resources. The Wisconsin Outdoors Alliance Foundation presented this fourth annual Expo as a celebration of the uniqueness and potential of both young Wisconsinites and the nature they enjoy.

More than 3,500 students, teachers, and chaperones attended the fourth annual Expo May 14th and 15th. Attendees interacted with the Expo’s many featured activities, including archery, conservation heritage enrichment, firearm safety training, fishing, sporting dogs demonstrations, and trail recreation.

“It was a lot of fun,” a La Crosse teacher has said of the Expo. “My students learned a lot, and they experienced many things they otherwise wouldn’t without the Expo.”

From the beginning, the Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo staff, sponsors, and volunteers have worked together to ensure this remains a free fun, educational experience. In tough economic times, outdoor activities often offer low-cost, healthy alternatives to indoor hobbies; and the Expo is a free gateway into inspiring children to become active outdoor enthusiasts.

From academic to conservation education, the Wisconsin Outdoor Education Expo offers diverse
activities for students, teachers, and chaperones. We have and will continue to welcome home school classes, public schools, private schools, and even individual families to this fun-filled, family-friendly event.

If you are interested in sponsoring, volunteering, organizing a new Expo activity, or attending the next Expo, please call Coordinator Heidi Hubble at
608-833-2040 or email Heidi at heidihubble@tds.net.
